Frequently Asked Questions

Urgent care generally refers to the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries or chronic conditions. For example:

  • Broken bones
  • Cuts and wounds requiring stitches
  • Sudden illness

Primary care refers to medical care in which you’d typically make an appointment to receive. For example:

  • Physicals
  • Wellness exams
  • Follow-ups

Our medical providers perform both types of service and will always work to support your primary care provider (if you have one outside of our clinics).

We accept most private and public insurance plans. For example:

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield
  • Medicare
  • Partnership HealthPlan

Please check with your insurance plan to determine “in-network” eligibility. Co-pays are due at the time of service. Major credit/debit cards are accepted.

Wait times vary depending on our caseload and provider availability. But, on average, about 15 minutes.

To reduce wait times for primary care, you may make an appointment. If you’re a new patient make sure you download, print, and complete the new patient form and the HIPPA authorization form. Present these completed forms to the front desk on arrival.

Providers at our clinics are generally able to write prescriptions for many types of medications. Some conditions apply, for example:

  • Some medications require long-term monitoring by a primary care physician, which means that follow-up appointments are required (with us or another primary care physician).
  • Controlled medications for chronic pain require us to request medical records from your current or previous physician.
  • One-time maintenance medications can be prescribed (not a full refill). The most common scenario for maintenance medication re-fills is a patient traveling to the region who has forgotten to bring prescribed medication(s).
  • Birth control can be prescribed but does require an exam. While we strongly recommend an exam, in California, pharmacists are allowed to prescribe birth control without a doctor’s prescription. More information about this service can be found here:

Yes, your medical records are available to you upon request.

We work with new worker’s compensation claims.
